• Assessment method

• Assessment method is two semester-year final examinations and continuous assessment methods.

 

Selection method

 

• Selected candidates will have to appear for a written test and face an interview for the selection. The selection of students will be done on the basis of their performance in both the written test and the interview.

 

 

Candidates must possess one of the following

 

• Successful completion of G.C.E. (O/L) Examination (Old Syllabus) in four subjects with a pass of “C” in English Language in the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination.

OR

• Successful completion of G.C.E. (O/L) Examination (New Syllabus) in three subjects with a pass of “C” in English Language in the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination.

Higher National Diploma in Information Technology (HNDIT)

 

• In the year 2000, SLIATE launched HNDIT with the aim of producing mid-level IT professionals required for the new millennium.

 

• At the end of the diploma, the student will be able to

3. Apply IT skills in the field of automation.

Entry Qualifications

• This course is aimed at school leavers with G.C.E. (A/L) qualifications in Mathematics, Science, Accounting, Technology and Arts.

• The applicant must have passed English and Mathematics in the G.C.E. (O/L).

• Candidates will be selected through the merit order of their G.C.E. (O/L) examination and through the aptitude/IQ test.

 

 

Course Duration

 

• The course duration consisted of five semesters namely Semester I, Semester II, Semester III, Semester IV and Semester V, covering two and a half calendar years.

• Academic activities were conducted during the first four semesters and in the fifth semester students were required to complete full-time industrial placements.

• Each semester duration was 15 weeks.

 

Higher National Diploma in Management (HNDM)
